Human Resources Generalist

We are seeking a proactive and experienced HR generalist to join our Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to spearhead change with new ideas and initiatives! This role is responsible for a variety of human resources duties, including but not limited to employee relations, recruitment, training, compliance, benefits administration, and HR recordkeeping.
The right candidate will be highly organized, adaptable, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively. This role requires someone who can think critically, provide innovative solutions, and support the continued growth of Copenhagen’s HR department.

Key Responsibilities:
· Support employee relations efforts, helping to maintain a positive and productive workplace culture.
· Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and industry best practices.
· Administer and assist with benefits, onboarding/offboarding, and HR documentation.
· Coordinate employee training and development initiatives.
· Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR files.
· Collaborate with store and department managers to provide HR guidance and support.
· Assist in full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, and onboarding new employees.
Skills & Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent experience.
· SHRM-CP certification preferred
· 2+ years of HR experience (retail or customer-facing industry experience is a plus).
· Strong communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in HRIS software, Microsoft Office, and other administrative tools.
· Excellent time management, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all HR matters.
